DIVERSITY, EQUITY & BELONGING
Goal 8: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, has gained momentum since its inception in February. In fact, after hearing feedback, the focus has been adjusted to Goal 8: Diversity, Equity and Belonging.
To ensure Goal 8 is developed alongside faculty, staff and students, the goal, strategies, tactics and metrics will be developed with your ideas and feedback. Mapping sessions using the Simplex Process are underway with President’s Cabinet, Diversity campus leads, and Executive Council (which includes Chancellors). This will create Goal 8’s draft strategies, tactics and metrics.
Five feedback sessions will be held at campuses to gather input and feedback from faculty, staff and students. Below are the scheduled dates and locations. If needed, please check with your supervisor regarding travel and attendance. Space is limited.

The College recognizes that although progress has been made, we need more intentionality and focus on advancing diversity, equity and belonging. This includes, but is not limited to, diversifying the College’s faculty and staff, closing historical achievement gaps, and deepening our commitment to XBE vendors. Adding Goal 8 to the Strategic Plan creates accountability and commitment across the system.
